Reflection – Home Task (Blog Creation)

During our last session with Mark, we were instructed to create an online blog or website at home where we would then upload our weekly reflections regarding the sessions. I decided to have a look at both ‘Wix’ and ‘WordPress’ and decided that WordPress would work best for the task in hand.

Signing up to the ‘WordPress’ service was extremely easy, however when I was first logged into my account I struggled to figure out how to do the basic things like adding my first post. The website builder software did not offer a tutorial for the basic skills which was a negative for me. I now, however feel that this lack of help allowed me to explore the software on my own, forcing me to develop my skills and teach myself which I have found more beneficial.
